So last night I did my karate test for rank! There were definitely things I could’ve done better but I’m thankful its done and now I’m just waiting on the results. I’ll find out tonight! On todays agenda: eat. study. exercise marathon!!

Morning Workout: Complete

Mission accomplished.

I must confess that I have woken up early at least 5 times this semester with the intention of working out. I wake up early, yes, but then I turn off my alarm and go right back to sleep. Half the time, it takes me less than 2 seconds to decide that I’m not, in fact, going to get out of my warm cocoon of blankets to go work out in the biting cold. Once, I didn’t even wake up. I just hit the alarm in my sleep and woke up 3 hours later slightly confused.

But today! Oh, today was different. The night before, I submitted myself to going to work out this morning before the crack of dawn. I wallowed in self-pity. I had tissues nearby, should a single tear streak down my face. I sang sad songs. I screamed into my pillow.

After my pity party I fell asleep early, knowing I would need 8 hours under my belt to make the fight easier the next morning.

As I woke up, I went into autopilot and before I knew it I was at the gym. And you know what? It was a great workout! I came back more drenched in sweat than usual, I had my pick of which machine I wanted, and afterwards? I felt beautiful! (sweat stains look good on me)

All these positive vibes, and the day hasn’t even begun!
